At Team Sensei we take pride in our staff; this is our greatest asset as a business. We also value the importance of surrounding ourselves with exceptionally talented people to challenge each of us to perform to our fullest potential. We are always open to accepting resumes and speaking with other professionals about future employment or partnerships. To maintain the highest level of service for our clients and integrity of our business we must hold our employees to the highest standards. In reviewing potential new members of our staff, we evaluate three conditions:

1. Experience in the profession. For each person’s specialty, whether this is a cycling or multisport coach, strength coach, physical therapist, exercise physiologist, experience is of the utmost importance. In these fields, especially when dealing with our driven client base, we must hold the highest standards. The highest quality education is gained through experience and we expect our employees to have extensive background in their field.

2. Academic knowledge and certifications. For many of our positions, academic degrees and certifications are required. We expect all of our staff to have completed the appropriate amount of formal education. Our coaches and strength coaches hold the highest certification by the NCSA or ASCM in addition to continuing education and certifications through USA Triathlon or USA Cycling.

3. Experience in athletics and sport. This is vital for working with the goal-oriented client. Our client base is highly motivated. While the majority of our clients are young adults, we see a full range of athletes from recreational to professional to Olympic Hopefuls. They all share a common passion to reach their goals and all demand the same quality of service. To be able to understand the psychology of these clients it is necessary to have experienced this drive in your own life. It is impossible to replicate the experience of being involved in the endurance athlete lifestyle. For many of our clients, their participation is more than a hobby, it is a lifestyle. Cycling, triathlon, and running have their own culture. At Team Sensei, our staff is part of this culture.
